Paryushana

For the first time, I had the opportunity to enter a new community to cover a special event, and I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous. However, the parents and elders were kind enough to guide me through their traditions and cultural practices, making the experience both enriching and enjoyable. Throughout the shoot, I met many wonderful, energetic people who made the event even more memorable. I also learned about the Jain tradition of fasting for eight days during Paryushana, a significant holy event. I was especially impressed by a young boy who completed the fast, becoming the youngest in his community to do so. His patience and cooperation during the shoot were truly remarkable, and I deeply appreciate the chance to capture such a meaningful moment.
